June 25th – A Pre post pandemic local Squarry do. –  Mellards, Holy inadequate, Koh I noor.

Attendees – Yup, Jaycee, DC, Phil, Tony. Nails and his table of Craigee, Bolt, Richee, Turk and Sid.

The day began when 2 bent up old men appeared in the form of JC and DC, emulating gnomes mowing a lawn. Why you may ask!!

We met at Mellards at 2.30pm and were given 2 tables of 6, separated by a screen on the ground floor. Jaycee collected his preordered sausage roll at £1.20 from the Wright’s pie shop. Meanwhile DC bought 2 for a £1 from the Pound bakery. Strange seeing so many of us out together again. ‘Oh Yeh oh yeh’ cried the town crier as we got onto the wrong bus. Oh no, oh no.

The Holy Inadequate welcomed us in and we had an opportunity to inspect the ales on tap at the bar as we were shown to our tables. Great service and exceptionally fast. The variety of the ale strengths was disappointing to one or two members of the craft ale scene but most were quite satisfied with the Osset ale.

In compliance with the social distance rules 2 separate tables were provided at the indian. Digger ate Bolts meal who ended up having to wait for another to be quickly prepared. As usual the food was excellent which went down well with cobras.
